Cap City Light Rifle 2025-2026 Season

Hello Cap City Shooters!

Light Rifle is back! This year, on the third Monday of each month.

Matches will be held on: 9/15/25, 10/20/25, 11/17/25, 12/15/25, 1/19/26, 2/16/26, 3/16/26, & 4/20/26. Start time is 6:30PM

NRA Light Rifle Competition

SAFETY:

All range safety rules will be observed. Decision of Match Coordinator is final. All firearms (not in shooting ports) shall be placed on the rear tables with the muzzle facing the rear wall, action open, magazine removed with Empty Chamber Indicator.

All firearms being moved will be in save condition with muzzle at eye level pointed upward.

EQUIPMENT:

22 caliber rimfire cartridge with a trigger pull of not less than two (2) pounds. Total rifle weight not to exceed eight and one-half pounds including sights and accessories. Any sight is permitted to a maximum of 9X. Butt hooks, palm rests, slings and special shooting clothing are NOT permitted.

TARGETS:

NRA A-32 bullseye 50-foot six spot target. Five (5) bulls used for score and one used for sighting.

COURSE OF FIRE:

Thirty (30) shots for total score. Two (2) shots per bullseye. Unlimited sighter shots permitted. Each shooter will use three (3) A-32 targets to complete the match. All shooting for score shall be from the offhand (standing) unsupported position.

Time limit is 45 minutes.

ENTRY FEE: & PRIZES:

Cost: $4.00 per person per event
Prizes: 50/50 split of all monies raised each night from the event!
Bring members & friends so the pot is sweet!
There will be trophies awarded at the last match of the year.
